馬祖莒光「方塊海」行銷系列活動WCA國際魔術方塊競賽及愛在莒光婚紗攝影大賽西莒熱情登場，來自各方的魔術方塊達人及婚紗新人齊聚一島，除了參與魔術方塊比賽盛事及定向越野錦標賽外，也共同見證西莒之美。

　馬祖配合莒光方塊海奇景行銷，舉辦WCA國際魔術方塊公開賽，連江縣政府採納交通部觀光局長周永暉提議，縣長劉增應說，很有創意，將擴大邀請更多國際達人參與，同時搭配世界唯二，亞洲第一的方塊海美景，吸引遊客到馬祖。

　2019年馬祖第1屆WCA國際魔術方塊比賽開幕式7日上午8時30分在西莒青帆運動場登場，由莒光守備大隊樂團表演揭開活動序幕，縣長劉增應、議長張永江、副縣長王忠銘、鄉長謝春欗、議員王孝榛、代表會主席林宏豫、莒光守備大隊隊長賴志忠及莒光鄉民代表們應邀出席參與，為2項賽事選手加油打氣，也為3對新人獻上祝福。

　WCA國際魔術方塊比賽開幕式活動現場，設有市集攤位推銷馬祖美酒與美食，並準備趣味組魔術方塊比賽，由小朋友及現場來賓小試身手，承辦廠商還特地準備了莒光六景魔術方塊，作為獎勵。

　上午這場賽事重頭戲，達人組比賽完全比照國際賽事規格，於莒光鄉公所會議室舉行，來自各方的魔術方塊好手神乎其技，快速紀錄，讓人驚嘆不已！其中，就讀馬祖高中一年級陳彥安同學是唯一馬祖選手；而年紀最小的選手就讀國二謝合贏得2個獎項；被封為「獎金獵人」就讀台大哲學系的黃品越則在這次賽程中封王，贏得獎金24,000元，他開心的說，剛好可以當作他預備11月要參加馬來西亞錦標賽的旅費。

　選手們表示，莒光很美，賽事串連方塊海很不一樣，這次只能匆匆走過，無法深入體驗，留下些許遺憾，下次一定另外安排時間，來次莒光深度之旅。參與盛會遊客昨天走訪坤坵實地觀賞方塊海場景，雖然出現面積不大，但看到格狀形海浪，非常開心；他們都說，坤坵是莒光珍寶，有鳥、方塊海、藍眼淚、抓章魚，未來結合景區開發，是莒光鎮島之寶。
